Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before participating in The Lab writing camps.

1. Definitions

1.1 Recode x MIND: Refers to the collaboration between Recode Records and MIND, organizing the writing camp.

1.2 Writing Camps: The musical activities and collaborative sessions organized by Recode x MIND where artists (producers) come together to create music.

1.3 Participant: An individual registered and paid to participate in a writing camp organized by Recode x MIND.

2. Applicability

2.1 These terms apply to all writing camps organized by the Recode x MIND organization.

2.2 By participating, the participant agrees to these terms.

3. Registration and Payment

3.1 Registration occurs via the online form on the Recode x MIND web page.

3.2 The fee must be paid in full within 14 days of invoice receipt.

3.3 Non-payment within this period allows Recode x MIND to cancel the registration.

3.4 All prices are subject to change without notice for future camps.

4. Cancellation and Refund

4.1 Participants may cancel up to 60 days before the camp's start for a full refund.

4.2 No refunds will be made for cancellations within 60 days unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4.3 Partial refunds for late cancellations may be considered, depending on incurred costs.

4.4 In case of force majeure events (natural disasters, government restrictions, etc.), Recode x MIND will offer alternatives such as rescheduling or refunds at their discretion.

5. Newsletter Subscription

5.1 Participation includes subscription to the Recode x MIND organization's newsletter(s) for updates and offers. Participants may unsubscribe anytime.

5.2 Personal data collected for newsletter purposes will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.

6. Responsibility and Safety

6.1 Participants are responsible for their safety during the camp.

6.2 Participants must follow the safety rules provided by the Recode x MIND organization.

6.3 The Recode x MIND organization is not liable for any damage, injury, or loss unless due to gross negligence or intent.

6.4 Participants must be insured for any potential damages (to the audio gear used during the sessions).

6.5 Participants must inform organizers of any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary restrictions that may affect their participation.

7. Copyright and Ownership

7.1 Participants retain copyright for works created during the camp.

7.2 Participants grant the Recode x MIND organization the right to use released recordings for promotional purposes, with attribution.

7.3 Collaborative works created during camps will be subject to separate agreements between the collaborating parties. Recode x MIND does not claim ownership of any creative content produced during the programs.

8. Code of Conduct

8.1 Participants must respect others and the facilities.

8.2 Excessive alcohol or drug use leading to misconduct may result in removal without a refund.

8.3 Participants are expected to maintain a professional and collaborative attitude throughout the camp.

8.4 Any form of harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal.

9. Media and Content Use

9.1 By participating, participants grant Recode x MIND the right to capture and use photo, video, and audio recordings of the camp sessions and activities (including their likeness and voice) for promotional purposes on Recode x MIND's social media, website, and other marketing channels.

9.2 This includes the right to share such content with third-party partners, sponsors, or media outlets for publication on their platforms, unless the participant objects in writing prior to the start of the camp.

9.3 Participants who wish to opt out of media usage must notify organizers in writing at least 7 days before the camp begins.

10. Program Changes or Cancellation

10.1 The Recode x MIND organization reserves the right to modify the program or cancel the camp if necessary.

10.2 In case of cancellation, alternatives such as rescheduling or refunds will be offered.

10.3 Participants will be notified of any significant program changes at least 14 days in advance when possible.

11. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution

11.1 Dutch law governs these terms and agreements.

11.2 Disputes will be resolved by the competent court in the Netherlands.

11.3 Before pursuing legal action, parties agree to attempt resolution through mediation or arbitration.

12. Final Provisions

12.1 Recode x MIND may amend these terms at any time.

12.2 Amended terms apply to future registrations and will be communicated to existing participants.

12.3 If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

12.4 These terms constitute the entire agreement between the parties and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.
